  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and drain the canned salmon; check for bones and flake into a bowl.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, eggs, Dijon mustard, green onions, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties about 2 inches wide.
  4. Heat about half an inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Fry the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels; serve hot with tartar sauce or your choice of dipping sauce.
