Vegan Chocolate Fig Tart

  • 1 ½ cups almond flour
  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 cup dairy-free dark chocolate (70% cacao or higher)
  • 1 cup full-fat coconut cream, chilled
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 68 fresh figs, sliced
  • Optional: ½ cup pecans or walnuts, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour and melted coconut oil until crumbly. Press into the bottom of a tart pan.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
  3. Melt dairy-free chocolate over medium heat until smooth.
  4. Whip chilled coconut cream until fluffy and fold into melted chocolate.
  5. Arrange sliced figs artfully on the tart shell and pour chocolate mixture over them.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
