- 12 oz smoked kielbasa, sliced
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and chopped onion; sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant. Add spinach and fold until wilted.
- While cooking the kielbasa mixture, boil salted water and cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Lower the skillet’s heat and pour in heavy cream; mix well and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss gently to coat in sauce.
- Remove from heat; stir in parmesan cheese along with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
