  • 12 oz smoked kielbasa, sliced
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and chopped onion; sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant. Add spinach and fold until wilted.
  3. While cooking the kielbasa mixture, boil salted water and cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  4. Lower the skillet’s heat and pour in heavy cream; mix well and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss gently to coat in sauce.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in parmesan cheese along with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
