  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter with cocoa powder until smooth. Stir in granulated sugar, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  3. Fold in flour gently; if using, add chocolate chips.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla; blend in sour cream if desired.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, dollop cheesecake mixture on top, then swirl remaining brownie batter over it.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the brownie layer. Allow to cool before slicing.
