  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend melted butter with granulated sugar until smooth; add eggs one at a time. Mix in cocoa powder and flour until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix in sour cream until creamy.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, dollop cheesecake mixture on top, swirl with a knife, then pour remaining brownie batter over it.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set around the edges but slightly soft in the center. Cool completely before slicing into bars.
