  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (cooled)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar + 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until fluffy.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix additional granulated sugar with cinnamon.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top, then add remaining batter and finish with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
