Instructions

  4. Fold in half of the dulce de leche until well mixed. Divide batter between prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  6. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form; fold in remaining dulce de leche and vanilla extract.
  7. Assemble by spreading frosting between layers and covering top and sides.
