Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water with sugar and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and melted butter; stir until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough, divide into 12 equal pieces, shape into balls, and arrange in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover again and let rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over rolls.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
