  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef or turkey; cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce; let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta with salt, pepper, and half the chopped herbs.
  6. In a small baking dish, layer meat sauce, lasagna sheets, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and repeat until all ingredients are used.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden.
