  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour and sugar. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add ice water until the dough forms.
  2. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface into circles about 6 inches wide.
  6. Place apple filling in the center of each circle and fold edges over to create a border.
  7. Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
