  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups rotini pasta (uncooked)
  • 2 cups pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (mixed colors)
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened (about 5 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in cooked rotini pasta and pizza sauce until well combined.
  5. Layer half of the mixture in the baking dish, top with half of the cheese, add remaining mixture, and finish with the rest of the cheese.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
