  • 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
  • 1 can (15 oz) refried beans
  • 4 cups tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat and mix in taco seasoning according to package instructions.
  3. Spread refried beans evenly in a greased baking dish as the base layer.
  4. Layer half of the seasoned beef over the beans, followed by half of the tortilla chips and half of the shredded cheese.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients: beef, chips, and cheese. Top with chopped tomatoes and jalapeños.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Serve hot with sour cream on top.
