Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices bacon cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Glaze
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any discolored outer leaves, and cut them in half.
Cook the Bacon
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon pieces until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Remove the bacon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the halved Brussels sprouts and drizzle with olive oil.
  2. Toss to coat the Brussels sprouts evenly in the oil and drippings.
Add the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and garlic powder.
  2. Pour the glaze over the Brussels sprouts and toss to combine.
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
  1. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender and caramelized.
Finish and Serve
  1. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and stir in the cooked bacon.
  2. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
