Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and then mix in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the fresh blackberries, being careful not to crush them.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
For added flavor, you can sprinkle some coarse sugar on top of the muffins before baking. Feel free to substitute blackberries with other berries if desired.
