Method
Prepare the Pasta
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Chicken Mixture
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, and shredded chicken. Mix well to combine.
- Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese into the pasta mixture.
Assemble the Dish
- Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
Bake
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Garnish and Serve
- Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
