- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, layer the hash browns evenly at the bottom.
- Spread the cooked sausage over the hash browns, then pour the egg mixture evenly on top.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the entire casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
