Strawberry Nutella Puff Pastry

Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 egg egg beaten for egg wash
For the Filling
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup strawberries sliced
For the Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out creases.
  3. Cut the pastry into 6 equal squares.
  4. In the center of each square, spread about 1 tablespoon of Nutella and top with a few slices of strawberries.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry squares over the filling to create a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
  7. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
